Hi loves,

How are we all? We’ve had such an exciting week. We took a mini-trip to London and, at an event on Tuesday, met so many incredible women. It got us thinking about something we’ve come to realise in our thirties: there is so much we can learn from women who have lived a life we haven’t. How much of life do we only understand by hearing how someone else lived it? How often can another woman’s experience give you a perspective you simply couldn’t have found on your own?

Not just the women we know well, or the ones whose lives look like ours. The woman a few years ahead of us. The woman who chose a completely different path. The woman who changed her mind. The woman who started again. The woman who took a risk we’re still wondering about. The woman who discovered that the life she thought she wanted wasn’t actually the life she wanted at all.

How often do we actually get to hear from those women?

To hear what they wish they’d known. What surprised them. What they would do differently. What became possible once they stopped following the path they thought they were supposed to be on.

So much of life is figuring things out as we go. We make decisions with what we know at the time, follow what feels right, and sometimes only understand what we really needed when we look back. That’s the strange thing about hindsight: sometimes the clarity only comes once you’re far enough away from the moment to see it differently.

We’ve been thinking about how powerful it can be to hear another woman’s perspective at exactly the moment you need it. Not because she has all the answers, but because her experience might help you see possibilities in your own life that you couldn’t quite see before.

That’s the thought behind something we’ve just launched at Her Thirties:

A place for the words one woman wishes she’d heard sooner, the perspective she’s gained along the way, and the reminders another woman might need on a day when life feels a little uncertain.

You might arrive thinking about friendship and leave with something that changes how you feel about starting over. You might read a few before bed and find one that feels as though it was written just for you.

Because sometimes, we don’t need someone to tell us what to do. We just need a reminder that we’re not behind, that our lives don’t have to follow someone else’s timeline, and that there is still so much possibility ahead of us.

And if there’s something life has taught you that you wish you’d known sooner, we’d love you to leave it there for another woman.

You never know when your words might be exactly what someone else needs to hear. READ→REMINDERS IT’S NOT TOO LATE

Love,
